Music – The Rhythm of Life
Music has been my constant companion since childhood. I sang when I was happy, and I sang when I was sad. Just by singing, my energy would shift from sorrow to joy in an instant.
As life grew more complicated, I lost touch with this lifeline—without even realizing it. During a transformative program, I sat in silence and listened to music again. Tears rolled down my face. That moment reminded me of who I truly was beneath all the noise of daily life.
In our culture, life begins with a lullaby (Thalattu) and ends with a mourning song (Oppari). Music is woven through every moment of our existence, and I believe it’s the same across cultures.
Music can calm your mind, help you sleep, rejuvenate your spirit, heal emotional wounds, clear negative energy, support manifestation, deepen meditation, and connect you to your inner self—and to the divine.
Play healing music softly, preferably without headphones. Let it fill your space gently, at home, at work (if permitted), or during meditation.
If meditation feels difficult, try timing it with music. I couldn’t sit still for 2 minutes, but now I meditate for 18—just by letting the right music guide me inward.
Nature-inspired soundscapes are especially powerful. Close your eyes and imagine being in that forest, by the waterfall, or on the beach. Your mind will take you there.
I’ve curated a vibrant collection of music from YouTube to help you reconnect with yourself. It’s categorized for easy access.
Let music flow through you—and let life flow with it.
