HORSE RIDING

  • By Sivapriya Velayutham

I’ve always enjoyed watching people ride horses. Have you noticed the confidence of a skilled rider?
They look calm, composed—even graceful. That confidence comes from knowing they are in sync with their horse. They can guide its speed, its direction, and even when it goes off track, they know how to bring it back. And here’s the thing: they also trust their horse. They know, deep down, they’re safe.

But riding a horse isn’t about force or domination. Especially when the horse is agitated or scared, the rider must stay calm and grounded. Panic only escalates things. The more unsettled the rider becomes, the more reactive the horse gets—and in extreme cases, it might even throw the rider off.

Life is no different.

Life can feel wild, unpredictable. It pulls you in unexpected directions, tests your patience, and sometimes throws you into emotional lows that feel unbearable. But like the new rider trembling on the saddle, the problem isn’t life—it’s our lack of trust in our ability to handle it.

We all take time to find our rhythm. Some learn quickly, others take a little longer. But that’s okay.
You don’t need life to go exactly your way. You just need to know that when it doesn’t, you have what it takes to bring it back on track. When life gets chaotic, the best thing you can do is stay calm.
Only a quiet, steady mind can steer through the storm. The more reactive you are, the worse the ride becomes.

Trust yourself. Trust life. Let go of the fear. Life isn’t broken. It’s just wild. And when you learn how to ride it, it becomes a beautiful, adventurous journey—full of surprises, detours, and growth.

So, just like riding a horse: Trust your life. It knows the way even when you don’t. Stay calm, especially when things get bumpy. You’ve got this. Know that you have the strength to bring things back on track, no matter how far off you seem.

Happy riding. 🤍

Do you believe you have what it takes to bring yourself back on track when life feels off-course?
