Missing ingredient
We all desire success, in health, relationships, career, and finances. But if I asked you, “Is everything working in your life?”, your honest answer might be no. You want things to work. You are putting in effort. You’re taking steps. But still, things don’t seem to shift. Why?
Let’s reflect: Look at the areas of your life. Where do you feel stuck? Are you doing the same things over and over, expecting something different to happen?
A friend once told me, “I do everything for my teenage daughter, and yet she’s always dissatisfied. I don’t know what else to do.” I asked, “Are you giving her what she truly wants—or what you think she wants?”
That’s a huge difference. You might be showering her with gifts, time, and attention. But maybe, all she wants is space. The more you’re physically present, the more she might feel emotionally distant.
Here’s a simple story:
A woman was making soup. She added the best vegetables, spices, and stirred it all day. Yet it never thickened. Frustrated, she said, “I’ve put so much into this soup, why isn’t it working?” The answer was simple—she forgot the thickening agent. That one missing element would have changed everything.
Your life is just like that soup.
You might be giving your all in a relationship, but missing the one thing that really matters: communication, fun, trust, or space. You might be working on your health, but missing consistency, rest, or foods that nourish and delight you. It’s not about how much effort you’re putting in, it’s about what kind of effort you’re making.
So pause and reflect: The one shift, the one choice, the one change that could transform everything?
What’s that one missing ingredient? Add it. That’s where the magic lies.
Are you willing to stop stirring and start adding what’s truly required?
